Automated Calling System Will Notify Parents of Child's Absences

Webbers Falls Schools is now utilizing an automated calling system to notify parents when their children are absent. If a student is marked absent 1st hour, the system will automatically call the parent at 9:45 a.m., regardless whether the absence is excused or unexcused and/or whether you have already contacted the school or not. If you have already contacted the school or know that your child’s absence will be excused, please disregard the call. There is no need to contact the school again. At approximately 3:45 p.m., the automated system will scan attendance for the entire day and send out a notification if a child has been marked absent any class period. Therefore, if your child is absent 1st hour, you will receive a call at both 9:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The automated system is prompted when you answer your phone and say, "Hello."  If you do not do this, the announcement will not be initiated. If you have a cellular phone with text capabilities, you will also receive a text.  Students are allowed only 10 absences in each class each semester. If you have internet accessibility, you may check your child’s attendance activity on the parent portal.
