Clean Up Day, 6-7-19

We want to send out a big thanks to the many volunteers who assisted us today. Thanks to Mary & Beau Brewer, Madrienna Rorex, C&W/Connors, and the Church of God group for providing food and drinks today. I will try to get more pictures up over the weekend.

We are in need of a truck, trailer, and driver to take a load of boxed up textbooks to Warner. They are currently under the pavilion. We are running out of room. Thanks!!

I just want to send out a special thanks to Cindy at Gambino's Pizza in Gore for providing pizza for our volunteers yesterday. She also helped in cleaning out our cafeteria. We had numerous volunteer fire departments assist us in our efforts as well. It is impossible for me to name all of our volunteers, but everyone is deeply appreciated.

We got a lot accomplished today, but we still have a lot of work ahead of us. We are expecting numerous crews and individuals to volunteer tomorrow as we continue to remove salvageable items and begin the demolition and gutting process. We are in need of the following items: generators, large fans, lunches around 11:00-11:30 a.m. (sandwiches, fruit, etc.), snacks, beverages other than water (gatorade, soda, etc.) & wet wipes. We will begin at 8:00 a.m. again in the morning. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped us today. You are not only saving a school, but saving a community.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! We have been given the “All Clear” to begin clean-up and removal of destroyed property of our school. We need volunteers! We will begin the clean-up, tomorrow, Thursday, June 6th, at 8:00 am. Volunteers need to park in the gym parking lot as the road in front of the school will have dumpsters. Each volunteer will need to sign in when they come and sign out upon leaving the school. You will also sign a liability release form. Both actions are required before you enter the building. We request that you wear long pants, rubber boots, gloves, and a mask. We are concerned for your safety in this endeavor. If you have any tools for clean-up such as shovels, brooms, squeegees, wheel barrows, etc. please consider bringing them to help out in the effort. We also need boxes and/or plastic tubs to load books that were not affected by the water. If you have trailers that we may be able to haul items to storage, please consider sharing them. If you are unable to come tomorrow, we will be working on this project for a while and you may come on other days. We desperately need your help. Thank you and have a blessed evening. Webbers Falls Public School cleanup and restoration will not begin until all insurance adjusters have evaluated the damage. Please watch for posts for the call to action. We will need your help! We will not only recover from this catastrophic event, we will be stronger. WARRIOR PRIDE!!!

Webbers Falls Public Schools will not be accessible to school personnel until after our insurance adjuster has made a through examination of the buildings and contents for our policies. I will need the all clear from them. After the all clear, we will need all the help we can get to clean up. Please be patient for a few more days. Please be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Please get a tetanus shot which are free at the Warner First Baptist Church Gym, 4:30 - 7:30 pm.

Shianne Garrison played in the Oklahoma All-State game today at Norman. We are so proud of Shianne and her many accomplishments. She adds another All-State figurine to our collection. Go Lady Warriors!!!

You can also go to the Main Menu and then to Documents if you prefer a Word Document. I would like to thank Kim Pearson and Gore Schools for the use of their gymnasium this summer. Also, many WF residents (including myself) now have water due to the generosity of the City of Porum.
